how do i wash a leather bag with a cloth interior as bought it 2nd hand and its a bit stinky!washing machine?

you dont thrash it take it to a dry cleaner or a lether shop,they do have leather cleaner,make it stench new,have inside dry cleaned,but please dont wash it it will not be pretty !!!!!!!!!!!
